Fertilization of the egg marks the beginning of pregnancy. The fertilized egg gradually migrates toward the uterus and develops into an embryo. Upon successful implantation in the uterine wall, the embryo continues to develop and take shape within the uterus, progressively forming various organs and hair until full maturation is achieved. Finally, the fetus and its associated structures (e.g., placenta, umbilical cord, amniotic membranes) are delivered from the mother’s body, signifying the end of pregnancy. Pregnancy in women is a lengthy process, lasting approximately 40 weeks overall; during this time, proper nutrition and regular prenatal check-ups are essential.
