How to Treat Inflamed Lymph Nodes in the Neck
Disease description:
I have developed lymphadenitis in my neck, accompanied by persistent pain. How is cervical lymphadenitis treated?
Inflammation of the cervical lymph nodes can be treated with antibacterial medications, such as penicillin or roxithromycin capsules. If pain or fever occurs, antipyretic and analgesic medications should also be administered. In cases caused by viral infection, antiviral agents—such as ganciclovir capsules—should be added to the treatment regimen. Symptoms of cervical lymphadenitis may include pain and/or lymph node enlargement; therefore, proper hygiene and nursing care are essential.
