What does it mean when someone experiences recurrent fevers?
Disease description:
Recently, my son has been experiencing recurrent fevers. What could be causing this repeated fever?
Recurrent fever may result from abnormalities in the body’s thermoregulatory center or be caused by bacterial or viral infections. Additionally, encephalitis or urinary tract infection cannot be ruled out. If the fever is mild, physical cooling methods may provide relief. However, if the temperature exceeds 38.5°C, antipyretic medications should be administered.
