How long after donating blood can I exercise?
Disease description:
I’ve been losing weight, and a few days ago, I donated blood. After returning home, I felt weak and haven’t exercised since. I’m unsure how long I should wait before resuming physical activity—how long after blood donation can I safely exercise?
Hello,
In general, you may resume light physical activity after three days. However, strenuous exercise should be avoided, as your body is relatively weak following blood donation, and excessive exertion may hinder recovery. During this period, it’s important to enhance your nutritional intake—especially foods that support blood replenishment—such as lean meat, eggs, milk, fish, pork blood, and duck blood. Gradually increase your activity level as your body recovers.
I hope this information is helpful. Wishing you good health!
