It is best to avoid alcohol while taking medication, as alcoholic beverages contain ethanol. Drinking alcohol during treatment may interfere with drug absorption and hinder recovery; in severe cases, it may even lead to drug toxicity. Therefore, alcohol consumption should be avoided during the course of treatment and may be resumed only after full recovery. During treatment, patients should drink plenty of water and urinate frequently, which helps prevent disease progression.
