Frequent dizziness indicates insufficient cerebral blood supply, while transient visual darkening (e.g., “blackout” or “graying out” of vision) suggests inadequate ocular blood perfusion. These symptoms commonly occur in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, such as coronary artery disease, cerebral vasospasm, or constitutional weakness. If the underlying cause remains unclear, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations are essential—including cardiovascular and cerebrovascular assessments, blood pressure and lipid profile testing, and ophthalmologic examination. Treatment must be targeted to the specific etiology. Patients should avoid high-risk occupations or activities, particularly those that could pose danger during a dizziness episode.
