Is there a weight requirement for blood donation?
Disease description:
I would like to donate blood at the hospital, but I feel that I am relatively overweight. Is there a weight requirement for blood donation?
There is generally no specific weight requirement for blood donation. Individuals who are in good health and do not have other infectious diseases may donate blood at a hospital. However, those with frail constitutions or who are prone to hypotension should avoid donating blood, as it may adversely affect their health. Prior to donation, a routine blood test must first be performed at the hospital to rule out any abnormalities.
