Can you use a fan when you have a cold and fever?

When experiencing a cold with fever during extremely hot weather, it is acceptable to use a fan in moderation. However, avoid directing the fan airflow directly at the body, as this may exacerbate cold and fever symptoms. Oral antiviral or symptomatic cold medications should be taken for treatment. If symptoms are severe, antipyretic medications may also be taken orally to alleviate symptoms.
