Introduction
Raw eggs can be consumed the day after being cracked open and refrigerated, but it is not recommended. Scientifically speaking, raw eggs cracked open and stored in the refrigerator may remain safe to eat the following day, as refrigeration normally prevents food spoilage. However, it cannot be guaranteed that the eggs were properly stored prior to refrigeration; improper storage of raw eggs can easily lead to bacterial growth.

Cracked raw eggs can technically be consumed the next day if refrigerated, but it is not recommended.

From a scientific perspective, cracked raw eggs stored in the refrigerator may remain safe to eat for up to 24 hours, as standard refrigerator temperatures (0–4°C) generally inhibit food spoilage. However, safety cannot be guaranteed unless proper handling and storage were ensured *before* refrigeration. Improperly stored raw eggs are highly susceptible to bacterial contamination. Even brief refrigeration—just one day—carries an elevated risk of spoilage, potentially leading to gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, or diarrhea due to pathogenic bacterial infection. Moreover, prolonged storage degrades flavor and freshness. Therefore, consumption is not advised.

Eggs are best prepared fresh—cracked and cooked immediately. For optimal health, prioritize consuming fresh, minimally processed foods.
