In children, prolonged preference for meat-rich diets may likewise contribute to recurrent episodes. Poor oral hygiene is another factor—especially excessive alcohol consumption, which promotes bacterial proliferation in the tonsils and pharynx, thereby increasing the risk of tonsillitis. Additionally, the common cold is a major precipitating factor for tonsillar inflammation.

Furthermore, cultivating a regular habit of drinking water is essential. Since all bodily organs rely on continuous circulation, maintaining adequate hydration supports optimal metabolic function. Drinking ample plain water not only effectively soothes and moisturizes the throat but also helps reduce the likelihood of tonsillitis.
