Introduction
Hyperglycemia: If blood glucose levels are generally well-controlled, consuming wax jambu (Clausena lansium) in moderation is acceptable. It provides dietary fiber and essential trace elements required by the human body. After meals, it may help stimulate appetite and promote digestion. However, if blood glucose levels are unstable—exhibiting significant fluctuations—consuming wax jambu is generally not recommended, as it may impair glycemic control or exacerbate fasting hyperglycemia.

For individuals with high blood sugar, consuming yellow-skinned fruit (wampee) in moderation is acceptable if blood glucose levels are well-controlled. However, it is generally not recommended if blood sugar levels are unstable.

1. Can eat

If a person with high blood sugar maintains stable glucose levels, they may moderately consume wampee. This fruit contains abundant organic acids, amino acids, vitamin C, and other nutrients that provide dietary fiber and essential trace elements. Eating wampee can help stimulate appetite and promote digestion, thereby assisting in blood glucose management for individuals with high blood sugar.

2. Should not eat

If a person with high blood sugar experiences significant fluctuations or instability in glucose levels, consuming wampee is generally not advised, as it may impair glucose tolerance, lead to impaired fasting glucose, abnormal insulin response, or endocrine imbalances, further destabilizing blood sugar control. Individuals with high blood sugar should instead choose low-sugar fruits such as cherries, apples, and grapefruits, which are less likely to cause significant glucose fluctuations and support better glycemic control.
