Introduction
Not all patients with rhinitis have the condition due to low immunity; other factors such as environmental and genetic factors also play a role. If the cause is related to environmental factors, it is essential to change the living environment and reduce exposure to allergens. Since genetic factors cannot be altered, the only option is to actively use medications to control the condition.

Nasal diseases are among the most common illnesses, yet they are often overlooked. Poor management can lead to various complications. So, is rhinitis caused by poor immunity?

Is rhinitis due to weak resistance?

Not all cases of rhinitis are caused by low immunity. Other factors, such as environmental conditions and genetics, also play a role. If environmental factors are involved, it's important to improve living conditions and reduce exposure to allergens. Since genetic factors cannot be changed, the focus should be on actively controlling symptoms with medication. For example, chronic simple rhinitis and chronic hypertrophic rhinitis may result from exposure to polluted air, secondhand smoke, or changes in temperature and humidity. Atrophic rhinitis and dry rhinitis are not directly linked to poor immunity.

Patients with low immunity are more prone to developing rhinitis. Acute rhinitis, for instance, is primarily caused by viral infections, and poor immune function is one of the contributing factors. Allergic rhinitis may also be related to weakened immunity, as individuals with lower resistance are more likely to experience nasal allergic reactions—such as runny nose, sneezing, and nasal itching—when exposed to allergens.

It is recommended to strengthen your immune system through moderate exercise such as running, or using medications to enhance immunity—specific drugs should be prescribed by a doctor. In terms of diet, consume more foods rich in protein and vitamins. We hope this answer helps you! Wishing you good health and happiness!
