The procedure of dressing a traumatic wound
The method of dressing a wound is closely related to the location, shape, and depth of the wound, and generally includes fully exposing the wound, cleaning and disinfecting it, and then applying a dressing. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Fully expose the wound: Examine the depth and extent of the wound to facilitate subsequent procedures.
2. Clean the wound: If there are foreign objects locally, first rinse them with clean water, then disinfect the skin around the wound using 75% alcohol. When applying alcohol, wipe from the inside outward—start at the edge of the wound and gradually expand the disinfected area outward.
3. Dressing: For small wounds, anti-inflammatory powder can be sprinkled directly. For larger wounds, place a layer of gauze over the wound first, then wrap it spirally with a bandage. Gauze helps stop bleeding and absorb wound exudate.
