Introduction
Steps for dressing traumatic wounds: First, carefully examine the patient's wound. If the wound is too deep, the patient should be sent to the hospital promptly for treatment. Superficial wounds can be dressed simply at first. If there are foreign objects in the wound, they must be thoroughly cleaned out before disinfection. Then, use an alcohol swab to disinfect the area starting from the center of the wound and moving outward. After disinfection, cover the wound with gauze and bandage it securely. Finally, ensure the dressing is firmly in place to prevent it from coming loose.

The method of dressing a wound is closely related to the location, shape, and depth of the wound, and generally includes fully exposing the wound, cleaning and disinfecting it, and then applying a dressing. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Fully expose the wound: Examine the depth and extent of the wound to facilitate subsequent procedures.

2. Clean the wound: If there are foreign objects locally, first rinse them with clean water, then disinfect the skin around the wound using 75% alcohol. When applying alcohol, wipe from the inside outward—start at the edge of the wound and gradually expand the disinfected area outward.

3. Dressing: For small wounds, anti-inflammatory powder can be sprinkled directly. For larger wounds, place a layer of gauze over the wound first, then wrap it spirally with a bandage. Gauze helps stop bleeding and absorb wound exudate.
