How many minutes does a microneedling session last?
Microneedling typically lasts between 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the individual's facial skin condition. If the skin condition is not particularly poor, about 10 minutes is sufficient; for poorer skin conditions, it usually takes around 20 minutes. The microneedling procedure is as follows:
1. Preparation: Select the appropriate microneedle length—0.5 mm for acne marks, 1 mm for acne scars, generally 0.5 mm for cosmetic purposes, and 1 mm roller for stretch marks. The microneedle device should be soaked in 75% medical-grade alcohol for 10 minutes beforehand and then air-dried before use.

2. Apply a layer of topical anesthetic cream evenly on the face, immediately cover it with plastic wrap, and leave it on for approximately 30–40 minutes before removing the wrap.
3. Evenly apply a lyophilized powder solution to the treatment areas on the face.
4. Divide the face into sections and roll the microneedle roller over each area—three passes horizontally, three vertically, and three diagonally. Reapply the lyophilized powder solution once during rolling.
5. If bleeding occurs during rolling, gently dab the area with a cotton swab to absorb the blood, then reapply the lyophilized powder solution by hand.
6. After completing the microneedling process, spread any remaining lyophilized powder over the entire face. Do not wipe away bloodstains. Place a facial mask over the treated area and allow the lyophilized solution to dry completely, then apply a reparative mask for approximately 30 minutes.
