Quick Tips for Unclogging Oily Earwax
Oily ears becoming blocked are usually caused by excessive secretions that are difficult to discharge naturally. The blockage can be cleared using a cotton swab or by softening the buildup with a solution before removal. Specific steps are as follows:
1. First, use an ear scoop to remove part of the cerumen, then use a cotton swab to clean off secretions adhering to the outer ear canal.
2. Next, apply 3%-5% sodium bicarbonate ear drops to soften the earwax. After softening the cerumen, allow the excess liquid to drain out, then flush out the oily earwax with warm water. Avoid applying strong water pressure to the ear canal during this process.
3. After washing, gently dry the inside of the ear with a cotton swab or tissue, and finally apply ear drops to prevent inflammation.
