Introduction
After exposure to ultraviolet germicidal lamps, high concentrations of ozone may be produced, which can cause discomfort such as dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. Therefore, rooms should be ventilated for 30 minutes after UV disinfection. When using ultraviolet germicidal lamps, direct exposure to human skin must be avoided. After UV sterilization, windows should be opened to reduce ozone concentration as much as possible and minimize irritation from ozone.

After exposure to ultraviolet germicidal lamps, high concentrations of ozone may be produced, which can cause discomfort such as dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. Therefore, the room should be ventilated for 30 minutes after UV disinfection.

Ultraviolet rays can penetrate cells and damage human tissue. Thus, during UV sterilization, direct exposure to human skin must be avoided, especially the eyes. When the UV lamp is turned on, never look directly at it to prevent conjunctivitis or keratitis. Meanwhile, when using a UV lamp for disinfection, close the windows to maintain a clean and dry indoor environment. Start timing 5–7 minutes after the lamp lights up, with each disinfection session lasting 30–40 minutes. If the lamp needs to be restarted after being turned off, wait 3–4 minutes before turning it on again. If entry into the room is necessary, turn off the UV germicidal lamp first. The effective working distance of the UV lamp should not exceed 2 meters; therefore, items to be sterilized should be placed as close to the light source as possible, and clothing, quilts, towels, etc., should be fully spread out.

After UV sterilization, open the windows to ventilate thoroughly and reduce ozone concentration as much as possible, minimizing irritation from ozone exposure.
