Introduction
During pregnancy, due to increased physical strain and emotional stress, pregnant women may experience arrhythmia. In daily life, avoiding fatigue, maintaining emotional stability, and getting adequate rest can help improve the condition. However, if arrhythmia is caused by anemia, it is recommended to take ferrous sulfate tablets orally as directed by a physician. If it results from myocarditis, coenzyme Q10 tablets are advised. In cases of coronary heart disease, pregnant women should carry quick-acting cardiac pills with them at all times.

Arrhythmia in pregnant women can be divided into physiological and pathological types, and the appropriate treatment should be selected based on the specific cause.

I. Physiological Arrhythmia

Many pregnant women may develop arrhythmia during pregnancy due to increased physical burden, emotional tension, or anxiety. It is recommended to undergo an electrocardiogram (ECG) at a hospital to rule out any cardiac abnormalities. If no heart disease is found, arrhythmia can usually be improved by avoiding excessive fatigue, maintaining emotional stability, getting adequate rest, and attending regular prenatal checkups.

II. Pathological Arrhythmia

1. Anemia: Many pregnant women develop anemia, which, if prolonged, can lead to iron-deficiency heart disease and trigger arrhythmia. It is recommended to take iron supplements such as ferrous sulfate tablets or ferrous succinate tablets under medical guidance to improve and relieve symptoms.

2. Myocarditis: Pregnant women with myocarditis may experience arrhythmia due to insufficient cardiac blood supply or inflammatory changes in the myocardium. This is often accompanied by symptoms such as palpitations, chest tightness, and chest pain. Treatment typically involves medications that improve myocardial metabolism, such as coenzyme Q10 tablets or adenosine disodium triphosphate tablets, used under a doctor’s supervision.

3. Angina Pectoris: Pregnant women with coronary heart disease may experience discomfort such as pressure or suffocation in the chest area when emotionally agitated or exposed to cold stimuli, often accompanied by sweating. If arrhythmia is clearly caused by angina, it is essential for the pregnant woman to carry fast-acting heart-saving pills (e.g., suxiao jiuxin wan) at all times to prevent serious complications.

When a pregnant woman experiences prolonged arrhythmia, she should seek timely medical evaluation to determine the exact cause and, under a doctor's guidance, choose appropriate medication for treatment.
