Introduction
Corn silk does not have any therapeutic effect on rhinitis, so drinking corn silk water will not help treat rhinitis. It is important to exercise regularly to strengthen your immune system, develop good hygiene habits, and avoid excessive fatigue. These measures can help reduce the occurrence of rhinitis symptoms. When necessary, appropriate medications may be taken under a doctor's guidance.

Corn silk does not have the effect of treating rhinitis.

There are many causes of rhinitis. Acute rhinitis is mainly caused by viral infections, which lead to vasodilation, congestion, and edema of the nasal mucosa, along with increased glandular secretion. These changes may result in symptoms such as dryness, a burning sensation in the nose, sneezing, and runny nose. Allergic rhinitis occurs primarily due to exposure to allergens such as pollen or dust, causing increased capillary permeability and exudation, leading to symptoms including nasal itching, paroxysmal sneezing, profuse watery nasal discharge, and nasal congestion. Corn silk has certain effects such as promoting bile secretion, lowering blood glucose, anti-allergy, diuresis, and reducing edema. In summer, drinking corn silk tea can help cool the blood and clear heat, eliminate damp-heat from the body, and stimulate appetite. Corn silk tea may also promote urination in patients with chronic nephritis or nephrotic syndrome. However, corn silk has no therapeutic effect on rhinitis; therefore, consuming corn silk water will not help treat rhinitis.

In daily life, it's important to exercise regularly to enhance immunity, develop good hygiene habits, and avoid excessive fatigue. These measures can help reduce the occurrence of rhinitis symptoms. When necessary, appropriate medications should be taken under a doctor’s guidance for treatment.
