Introduction
Treat dry, itchy, and painful eyes according to the underlying cause. For keratitis, use antibiotic eye drops such as ofloxacin hydrochloride eye drops or tobramycin eye drops. For fungal infections, treat with natamycin eye drops, flucytosine tablets, etc. For allergic conjunctivitis, administer oral antihistamines such as cetirizine hydrochloride tablets or loratadine tablets. For dry eye syndrome, use sodium hyaluronate eye drops, aescin-digitalis bisglycoside eye drops, etc.

Dryness, itching, and pain in the eyes should be treated based on the specific underlying cause. These symptoms are commonly caused by conditions such as keratitis, allergic conjunctivitis, or dry eye syndrome.

1. Keratitis: If symptoms are caused by keratitis, bacterial infections should be treated with antibiotic eye drops such as ofloxacin hydrochloride eye drops or tobramycin eye drops under a doctor's guidance to help eliminate the causative bacteria. For fungal infections, medications like natamycin eye drops or flucytosine tablets may be prescribed under medical supervision to eradicate the infecting fungi. Additionally, warm compresses can help dilate blood vessels in the eye area, improve circulation, and enhance resistance. Irrigation may also be used to flush out secretions and bacterial toxins, helping to relieve symptoms.

2. Allergic Conjunctivitis: If due to allergic conjunctivitis, it is recommended to avoid known allergens. Antihistamines such as cetirizine hydrochloride tablets or loratadine tablets can be taken under medical guidance. In some cases, immunosuppressants such as tacrolimus capsules or cyclosporine soft capsules may be necessary.

3. Dry Eye Syndrome: If caused by dry eye syndrome, preservative-free artificial tears are recommended under a doctor’s supervision. Commonly used medications include sodium hyaluronate eye drops and escin-digitalis glycosides eye drops. For severe symptoms, treatments such as punctal occlusion or labial gland transplantation may be required as directed by a physician to alleviate symptoms.

In addition, visual fatigue or systemic diseases may also lead to these symptoms. It is advisable to visit an ophthalmology department at a hospital for proper diagnosis and targeted treatment.
