Introduction
Fever refers to an elevated body temperature. Whether a baby with fever can take a bath depends on the specific situation. If the baby has a low-grade fever, bathing is acceptable, but the water temperature should be slightly lower and保暖 (warmth preservation) measures must be taken to avoid chills that might worsen the condition. However, if the baby has a high fever, bathing is not recommended. During episodes of fever, offer small amounts of water frequently to compensate for fluid loss and maintain hydration.

Fever refers to an elevated body temperature. Whether a baby can take a bath during a fever in autumn depends on the specific circumstances. If the fever is mild, bathing is acceptable; however, if the fever is high, bathing should be avoided.

A baby's body temperature is normally slightly higher than that of adults. During a low-grade fever—when body temperature does not exceed 38.5°C—and if the baby shows no symptoms such as impaired consciousness, nausea, vomiting, and remains in good spirits, giving the baby a bath is permissible. Bathing can help dissipate some body heat and provide a certain cooling effect. However, the water temperature should be kept slightly lower, and care must be taken to keep the baby warm afterward to prevent chills that could worsen the condition.

If the baby has a high fever, bathing is not effective and treatment should target the underlying cause. Under a doctor's guidance, fever-reducing medications such as ibuprofen granules or acetaminophen granules may be administered orally to prevent febrile seizures during high fever episodes.

During a fever, offer small amounts of water frequently to compensate for fluid loss and ensure the baby gets plenty of rest.
