Introduction
When a child has a fever and falls asleep, it is important to control the indoor temperature, ensure timely heat dissipation, and maintain hydration. Additionally, cold compresses should be applied. First, pay attention to the room temperature. If it is the middle of the night, parents should keep the room temperature around 25–27°C, which can effectively alleviate the child's fever symptoms during sleep.

Fever refers to elevated body temperature. When a child has a fever and falls asleep, it is important to control room temperature, ensure timely heat dissipation, and maintain hydration.

1. Control Room Temperature

First, pay attention to the indoor temperature. If it occurs in the middle of the night, parents should keep the room temperature around 25–27°C. This can effectively help relieve a child's fever symptoms during sleep.

2. Timely Heat Dissipation

When a child has a fever during sleep, prompt cooling measures should be taken. If the child develops a fever at night accompanied by sweating, it indicates the need for heat dissipation. Remove the child’s clothing to facilitate cooling, which can help alleviate and manage nighttime fever.

3. Maintain Hydration

If a child experiences high fever at night, body fluids can rapidly evaporate. Therefore, it is important to drink plenty of water, which helps maintain bodily hydration and also contributes to lowering body temperature.

Additionally, when a child with fever falls asleep, consider using cold compresses. It is recommended to closely monitor the child’s symptoms and signs. If, about an hour and a half after administering fever-reducing medication, the temperature continues to rise, seek medical attention promptly.
