Introduction
The clinical symptoms of groin strains in the thigh vary depending on severity and can be classified into two types: mild strain and severe strain. In cases of mild groin strain, the torn muscle may feel slightly stiff but generally retains sufficient elasticity and function. In contrast, a severe groin strain involves a significant sensation of muscle tearing and may even impair normal leg movement.

Clinical symptoms of groin strains in the thigh vary depending on severity and can be classified into two types: mild strain and severe strain.

  1. Mild strain: In cases of mild groin strain, the torn muscle may feel somewhat stiff, but it generally retains sufficient elasticity and function.

  2. Severe strain: With a severe groin strain, there may be a significant sensation of muscle tearing, which can severely impair normal leg movement and even make walking impossible.

Since each patient's condition differs clinically, symptoms may also vary. Once the above symptoms occur, it is important to promptly visit an orthopedic department at a hospital to undergo relevant examinations such as creatine kinase tests, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to determine the severity of the injury. During this period, strenuous physical activity should be avoided as much as possible, and bed rest is recommended. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen sustained-release capsules or celecoxib capsules, should be taken according to medical advice to reduce inflammation and swelling. Additionally, topical medications with blood-activating and stasis-resolving effects, such as safflower oil or Yunnan Baiyao aerosol, may also be used as directed by a physician during this time.
