What causes kyphosis?
Kyphosis is caused by factors such as long-term incorrect posture, excessive fatigue, osteoporosis, and others.
1. Long-term incorrect posture
Neglecting proper standing posture during daily activities, or excessively bending the head forward while reading or writing, may lead to kyphosis. Therefore, it's important to maintain correct body posture in everyday life—walk with a naturally upright chest, let the shoulders extend backward naturally, and avoid leaning over desks when reading or writing.
2. Excessive fatigue
Prolonged bending work may cause excessive strain on the lower back, leading to kyphosis. Wearing corrective braces can help improve the condition. Additionally, treatments such as acupuncture and massage therapy may promote local blood circulation and provide supportive improvement.
3. Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis mainly results from low bone mass and damage to bone microstructure. Treatment includes nutritional supplementation, appropriate exercise, and medications such as etoricoxib tablets and loxoprofen sodium tablets.
Besides the above causes, kyphosis may also result from various other conditions such as scoliosis and spondylitis.
