Introduction
Whether a baby with fever can take anti-inflammatory drugs depends on the specific condition. If it's a low-grade fever, physical cooling methods can usually relieve symptoms. If the fever is caused by a bacterial infection, anti-inflammatory medication may be taken under a doctor's guidance. If the baby has a high fever, prompt medical attention is necessary. Meanwhile, the baby should not wear too many clothes or be covered with thick blankets, and should avoid cold, stimulating foods.

Fever refers to an elevated body temperature. Whether a baby with fever can take anti-inflammatory drugs depends on the specific condition. If it is a low-grade fever, physical cooling methods can usually relieve symptoms. However, if the fever is caused by a bacterial infection, anti-inflammatory medication may be taken under a doctor's guidance.

If a baby has a low fever below 37°C, cooling can be achieved using cold compresses. Wrap ice in a towel and place it on areas such as the forehead to help dissipate heat and lower body temperature. Alternatively, use lukewarm water compresses—wipe the whole body with a warm, damp towel to dilate blood vessels and reduce surface body temperature. Additionally, drinking plenty of water helps lower body temperature during mild fever. Increased fluid intake promotes sweating, which regulates body temperature, increases urination, and aids in eliminating toxins through urine, thereby contributing to fever reduction. If the fever results from a bacterial infection, anti-inflammatory medications such as azithromycin dry suspension or roxithromycin granules may be used under a doctor's advice.

If the baby develops a high fever, prompt medical attention at a hospital is necessary, and treatment should follow the doctor’s instructions. Avoid overdressing or covering with heavy blankets, and refrain from consuming cold or irritating foods.
