Introduction
The aortic sinus is the portion connecting the left ventricle of the heart to the aorta, also known as the sinotubular junction. The normal diameter of the sinus is less than 28 mm. When the aortic sinus dilates beyond 49 mm, it is termed ascending aortic dilation and requires surgical treatment. There are two surgical options: the first is replacement of the ascending aorta, and the second is combined replacement of the ascending aorta and aortic arch.

The aortic sinus generally refers to the aortic sinus, and the normal diameter of the aortic sinus is usually less than 28 mm.

The aortic sinus is the portion connecting the left ventricle of the heart to the aorta, also known as the sinotubular junction. The normal internal diameter of the aortic sinus is less than 28 mm. The aortic sinus consists of three parts: the left sinus, right sinus, and posterior (non-coronary) sinus. Based on the presence or absence of coronary artery openings, they are classified as the right coronary sinus, left coronary sinus, and non-coronary sinus. The origins of the left and right coronary arteries are typically located within the left and right coronary sinuses, mostly situated centrally within the coronary sinuses.

When the aortic sinus dilates, its diameter may exceed 49 mm, which is referred to as ascending aortic dilation and requires surgical treatment. There are two surgical approaches: the first is replacement of the ascending aorta, and the second is replacement of both the ascending aorta and aortic arch. These procedures involve replacing the dilated aorta with a synthetic graft to restore normal cardiovascular function. Patients can undergo imaging examinations such as CT scans or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to accurately assess their condition and receive timely intervention.

It is essential to maintain healthy lifestyle habits, avoid excessive fatigue, and refrain from strenuous exercise to prevent discomfort. It is recommended to engage in mild physical activities such as walking or jogging according to individual health conditions, which can help enhance immunity and support recovery.
