Introduction
After surgery, patients need regular follow-up examinations. One of the most important tests is monitoring serum hCG levels. If the patient's human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) levels decline rapidly, generally 3–4 follow-up tests are required. However, because the severity of the condition and individual physical conditions vary among patients, the changes in hCG levels may also differ. Therefore, evaluations should be based on each patient's specific circumstances.

Ectopic pregnancy (commonly referred to as "extrauterine pregnancy") generally refers to a pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implants outside the uterine cavity. After surgical treatment for ectopic pregnancy, patients are typically required to have their blood HCG levels checked 3–4 times. However, individual differences exist, and follow-up frequency should be determined according to each patient's specific condition.

Ectopic pregnancy is an abnormal pregnancy process in which the embryo implants and develops outside the uterine cavity. It is commonly caused by inflammation of the fallopian tube or surrounding tissues, leading to impaired tubal patency and disruption of normal egg transport. Before rupture of the ectopic gestational sac, patients may experience symptoms such as amenorrhea, abdominal pain, and light vaginal bleeding—typical signs of early pregnancy. Once the gestational sac ruptures, patients often develop acute, severe abdominal pain, recurrent episodes, vaginal bleeding, and even shock. After surgery, regular follow-up is essential. One of the most important tests is monitoring serum HCG levels. A rapid decline in human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) usually indicates successful treatment. Typically, HCG is monitored 3–4 times postoperatively. However, because disease severity and individual physical conditions vary, the pattern of hCG decline can differ significantly among patients, requiring personalized assessment based on clinical circumstances.

Patients should maintain a light, well-balanced diet with adequate nutrition. Sufficient rest is important; going to bed early and rising early is recommended. Avoid excessive fatigue and strenuous physical activity.
