Introduction
The patient lies in a supine position, and the physician disinfects the abdominal area with alcohol or iodophor. The physician then draws teriparatide into a syringe and pushes the plunger to expel all air from the syringe. The skin at the injection site is lifted, and the needle is inserted obliquely. After confirming no blood return upon aspiration, the medication is injected slowly. Following completion of the injection, the needle is withdrawn. At the same time of needle removal, a dry cotton swab is used to apply pressure on the puncture site. After several minutes of pressure to achieve hemostasis, the cotton swab is removed.

Teriparatide injection is generally administered subcutaneously in the thigh or abdomen. The injection should be performed by a healthcare professional. Taking abdominal injection as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:

1. The patient lies supine on the treatment bed, and the doctor disinfects the abdominal area with alcohol or iodophor.

2. The doctor draws up teriparatide using a syringe and pushes the plunger to expel all air from the syringe.

3. The doctor pinches the skin at the injection site with the thumb and index finger, inserts the needle at an angle into the subcutaneous tissue, pulls back slightly to confirm no blood return, then injects the medication. After completing the injection, the needle is withdrawn.

4. At the same time of needle removal, a dry cotton swab is applied to press the puncture site; after several minutes to ensure hemostasis, the cotton swab is removed.

During injection, care should be taken not to insert the entire needle length to avoid breakage at the junction where the needle attaches to the hub.
