Is it possible to have gynecological inflammation after a hysterectomy?
Gynecological inflammation may still occur after hysterectomy, so regular check-ups are recommended.
A hysterectomy may not remove the adnexa, vagina, cervix, and other areas. Gynecological inflammations commonly include vulvitis, vaginitis, cervicitis, salpingitis, and endometritis, as well as salpingo-oophoritis, pelvic peritonitis, and pelvic connective tissue inflammation. After a hysterectomy, if personal hygiene is neglected or if there is unprotected sexual intercourse, gynecological infections may still develop. Therefore, gynecological inflammation can still occur even after the uterus has been removed.
After a hysterectomy, follow your doctor's advice for regular follow-up examinations. If any discomfort symptoms arise, relevant tests should be performed and appropriate treatment provided.
