Introduction
An echogenic mass in the liver typically refers to an echo response observed during ultrasound examination of the liver. The liver is a solid organ, and if there are no symptoms, such findings may represent a physiological phenomenon. If liver echogenicity is increased and accompanied by diffuse fine speckling, it may indicate fatty liver disease leading to hepatic fibrosis. If the echogenicity is enhanced but coarse and heterogeneous, along with nodules, it may be caused by liver cirrhosis.

Increased echogenic foci in the liver typically refer to echo responses observed during ultrasound examination of the liver. These may result from physiological factors, or could be caused by pathological conditions such as fatty liver disease or cirrhosis.

I. Non-disease Factors

The liver is a solid organ that normally shows low-level echoes during ultrasound examination. If the patient does not exhibit significant symptoms, this finding is generally considered a physiological phenomenon and does not require special treatment.

II. Disease-related Factors

1. Fatty Liver

If liver echogenicity is increased and accompanied by diffuse fine granular echoes, it may indicate fatty liver disease leading to hepatic fibrosis. Treatment may include medications such as simvastatin tablets, rosuvastatin tablets, or atorvastatin tablets, taken according to medical advice.

2. Cirrhosis

If the echoes are enhanced, coarse, uneven, and associated with a nodular texture, this may be due to liver cirrhosis. Medications such as entecavir capsules, metadoxine tablets, or polyene phosphatidylcholine capsules may be prescribed under a physician's guidance.

In addition, these findings could also be caused by liver cancer. Patients are advised to undergo further histopathological examinations for definitive diagnosis, followed by targeted treatments based on the underlying cause under medical supervision.
