What should I do for fever, dizziness, and headache?
Fever usually refers to elevated body temperature. Dizziness and headaches associated with fever can generally be improved through general management, physical methods, or medication.
1. General Management
If dizziness and headache caused by fever are not severe, symptoms can be alleviated by drinking more water. Eating vitamin-rich fruits such as apples and bananas is also beneficial. Additionally, getting adequate rest can help improve these symptoms.
2. Physical Treatment
If the fever is mild and body temperature does not exceed 38.5°C, physical cooling methods can be used to reduce fever and relieve dizziness and headache. Examples include applying fever-reducing patches or performing lukewarm water sponge baths.
3. Medication
If symptoms are severe and body temperature exceeds 38.5°C, antipyretic medications may be used under a doctor's guidance, such as ibuprofen tablets, acetaminophen tablets, or cefixime capsules.
In addition, intravenous fluid therapy may also be used when necessary. During treatment, patients should keep their bodies warm and avoid spicy or irritating foods.
