Introduction
Patients with a fever should generally not drink Red Bull, as it is not only unhelpful for recovery but may also worsen the condition and impair healing. It should be noted that if a patient's temperature is below 38.5°C, physical cooling methods are recommended. If the temperature exceeds 38.5°C, patients should take medications such as ibuprofen tablets or acetaminophen tablets under the guidance of a doctor.

Generally, patients with a fever should not drink Red Bull, as it is not only unhelpful for recovery but may also worsen the condition and impair the healing process.

Fever is a relatively common symptom. Under normal circumstances, the body maintains a dynamic balance between heat production and heat dissipation regulated by the thermoregulatory center in the brain. When pyrogenic substances are present or the thermoregulatory center malfunctions, heat production increases. If heat dissipation does not increase correspondingly or even decreases, fever may occur, typically defined as a body temperature ≥37.3°C. Fever can be classified as low-grade, moderate, high, or hyperpyrexia. The specific underlying cause can usually be identified through tests such as temperature monitoring, complete blood count, urinalysis, and X-ray examinations.

In general, individuals with a fever should avoid drinking Red Bull. Red Bull is an energy drink primarily intended for athletes who experience significant fluid loss after intense physical activity. It helps replenish essential electrolytes such as sodium and potassium ions, thereby supporting physical recovery. However, it contains ingredients like taurine and inositol, which may enhance metabolic activity but can also elevate body temperature. Additionally, Red Bull may lead to increased blood pressure and accelerated heart rate, both of which are detrimental to recovery. Instead, patients can consume fresh fruit juices such as orange, pear, or peach juice to supply necessary nutrients and support recovery.

It should be noted that if a patient's temperature is below 38.5°C, physical cooling methods are recommended. If the temperature exceeds 38.5°C, patients should take medications such as ibuprofen tablets or acetaminophen tablets under medical guidance.
