Introduction
Matrine gel is generally ineffective against HPV infection. Matrine gel is primarily used to treat chronic gynecological inflammations such as leukorrhea, trichomonal vaginitis, and vulvovaginal candidiasis. HPV infection usually occurs due to a decline in human immunity and subsequent infection with the human papillomavirus. Since matrine gel does not inhibit the replication of human papillomavirus or enhance immunity, its use is not recommended.
