Introduction
Hemoptysis refers to bleeding originating from the throat, lower respiratory tract, or lung tissue, which is then coughed up through the mouth. Nursing interventions include dietary management, psychological support, and others. If a patient suffers from conditions such as bronchiectasis, pulmonary tuberculosis, or lung abscess, these diseases may cause inflammation in the pharyngeal area and increase the permeability of bronchial mucosa or capillaries surrounding the lesion.

1. Definition
Patients with conditions such as bronchiectasis, pulmonary tuberculosis, or lung abscess may develop inflammation in the throat area. Increased permeability of the bronchial mucosa or surrounding capillaries can lead to ulceration of blood vessel walls, resulting in respiratory tract bleeding and hemoptysis. In such cases, patients should promptly seek treatment at a正规 medical institution and, under medical guidance, take medications such as ethambutol tablets or rifampicin capsules.
2. Nursing Measures
1) Dietary Care
As this symptom may arise from various underlying diseases, patients should consume light, nutritious, and easily digestible foods in daily life, such as lean meat, eggs, and fish.
2) Psychological Support
During treatment, it is important to help patients maintain confidence in overcoming the disease, alleviate anxiety, and encourage active cooperation with medical management.
In addition to the above, oral hygiene is also essential. Patients are advised to maintain good oral care in daily life to prevent worsening of their condition.
