Sinusitis is an inflammatory condition affecting the mucous membranes of the sinuses, primarily caused by infection. Clinically, it may cause symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, facial and headache pain, and reduced sense of smell. Generally, sinusitis can be managed under a doctor's guidance using medications such as budesonide nasal spray, mometasone furoate nasal spray, or fluticasone propionate nasal spray. If medication proves ineffective, endoscopic sinus surgery may be considered.
