Introduction
After pregnancy, as the fetus develops and the uterus enlarges, pressure on the pelvis caused by the uterus can lead to pubic pain and discomfort. Pain may also result from impact or compression to the genital area, causing injury to local soft tissues or bones. As the fetus grows, a substantial amount of calcium is required during pregnancy; if calcium intake is insufficient, calcium deficiency may occur, leading to osteoporosis and resulting in the aforementioned discomforts.

Pregnancy refers to gestation. Bone pain in the lower part of the body specifically indicates pain in the pelvic bones. Pelvic bone pain during pregnancy is mostly divided into physiological and pathological causes, with pathological factors often related to trauma, calcium deficiency, etc. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Physiological Causes

As the fetus develops, the enlarging uterus exerts pressure on the pelvis, which may lead to discomfort or pain in the pubic area. Local heat application can help relieve symptoms. Avoid prolonged sitting or standing.

2. Pathological Causes

1) Trauma

If the pelvic area suffers impact or compression, it may cause injury to local soft tissues or bones, resulting in pain. Applying heat locally can improve blood circulation and alleviate pain.

2) Calcium Deficiency

As the fetus grows, the pregnant woman's body requires large amounts of calcium. Insufficient calcium intake may lead to calcium deficiency and osteoporosis, causing the aforementioned discomfort. Calcium supplements such as calcium gluconate oral solution, calcium acetate tablets, or calcium carbonate tablets may be taken under medical guidance to relieve pain.

In addition, pain may also result from conditions such as pubic symphysis diastasis, neuralgia, or chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Pregnant women are advised to get adequate rest and supplement calcium appropriately. If symptoms persist or worsen, timely evaluation and treatment at a hospital’s obstetrics and gynecology department are recommended.
