Introduction
Craniosynostosis can usually be diagnosed through clinical manifestations, head CT scans, and cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). During physical examination, signs such as increased intracranial pressure and premature suture closure can be observed. Head CT clearly reveals the shape of the skull and changes in cranial sutures, while cranial MRI allows visualization of skull deformities and the status of cranial sutures.

Craniosynostosis can usually be diagnosed through clinical presentation, head CT scans, and cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), among other methods. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Clinical Presentation

Craniosynostosis is a developmental malformation disorder that typically presents with skull deformities, ocular proptosis, strabismus, and brain dysfunction. During physical examination, signs such as increased intracranial pressure and premature suture closure can often be observed, allowing for an initial diagnosis.

2. Head CT Scan

A head CT scan clearly reveals the shape of the skull bones and changes in cranial sutures, aiding in the diagnosis of craniosynostosis, especially in patients with subtle skull deformities.

3. Cranial Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Cranial MRI provides clear and direct visualization of skull deformities and cranial suture conditions. Compared to other diagnostic methods, it offers more accurate results and is considered the gold standard for diagnosing this condition.

In addition to the above common diagnostic methods, patients may also undergo genetic testing under a physician's guidance. Early diagnosis and timely treatment are essential to prevent impairment of brain function and to promote recovery.
