Introduction
Abdominal bloating and liver area pain may be caused by hepatitis, cholecystitis, fatty liver, and other conditions. Specifically: Hepatitis is usually caused by damage to liver cells due to bacteria, viruses, parasites, or other factors, leading to liver inflammation. This causes hepatocyte swelling and enlargement of the liver, which stretches the liver capsule and results in discomfort in the liver region, thereby causing symptoms such as abdominal distension and pain.

Abdominal bloating and liver area pain may be caused by conditions such as hepatitis, cholecystitis, or fatty liver disease. The details are as follows:

1. Hepatitis

Hepatitis is usually caused by damage to liver cells due to factors such as toxins, viruses, or parasites, leading to liver inflammation. This inflammation causes swelling of liver cells and enlargement of the liver, which stretches the liver capsule and results in discomfort in the liver region, manifesting as abdominal distension and pain. Under a doctor's guidance, medications such as lamivudine tablets or bifendate tablets can be used for treatment.

2. Cholecystitis

Cholecystitis is often caused by narrowing of the cystic duct. Local infection from cholecystitis allows bacteria to invade and disrupt gastrointestinal function, resulting in these symptoms. Under medical supervision, medications such as ursodeoxycholic acid tablets or anti-inflammatory and bile-promoting tablets may be prescribed for treatment.

3. Fatty Liver

When excessive fat accumulates within liver cells, the liver capsule becomes stretched, causing symptoms such as bloating and liver area discomfort. Under a doctor’s direction, medications such as glutathione tablets or silymarin capsules may be used for treatment.

In addition to the above causes, liver cancer or intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma can also lead to abdominal bloating. If symptoms such as liver area pain occur, it is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation at a hospital to avoid delaying optimal treatment opportunities.
