Introduction
A blood glucose meter is an electronic device used for rapid measurement of blood glucose levels, serving to measure and monitor blood sugar. It is recommended to use the glucose meter under a doctor's guidance. The specific operating steps are as follows: retrieve the blood glucose meter, lancet, lancing device, test strips, and other tools; check the condition of the test strips; insert the test strip into the meter; ensure the meter has sufficient battery power; and confirm that the test strip type matches the meter.

A blood glucose meter is an electronic device used for rapid measurement of blood sugar levels, serving the purpose of measuring and monitoring glucose. It is recommended to use the blood glucose meter under the guidance of a physician. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Preparation: Retrieve the blood glucose meter, lancet, lancing device, test strips, and other supplies. Check the condition of the test strips, insert a test strip into the meter, ensure the meter has sufficient battery power, and confirm that the test strip type matches the meter.

2. Disinfection: Wash your hands thoroughly and take out some alcohol. Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to disinfect the fingertip designated for blood sampling.

3. Blood collection and reading display: After allowing the alcohol to evaporate completely, use the lancing device to prick the chosen site. Wipe away the first drop of blood, then hold the edge of the test strip at an angle against the second drop of blood from the fingertip, allowing it to be absorbed via capillary action. Wait a few seconds for the blood glucose meter to display the blood glucose reading.

4. Storage: Properly store all used items.

When measuring blood glucose over a long period, regularly calibrate the meter to avoid affecting the accuracy of test results.
