Surgical excision technique for warts
Generally, surgical excision is a commonly used method for removing warts and is clinically often applied in the treatment of anal condyloma acuminata and female external genital warts. Taking excision of female external genital warts as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:
1. Position the patient in the lithotomy position to fully expose the affected area.
2. Shave pubic hair from the lesion site, disinfect the area with iodophor, and drape with sterile fenestrated towels.
3. Administer an appropriate amount of lidocaine for local anesthesia according to the size of the lesion.
4. Make a spindle-shaped incision along the base of the wart stalk and excise the wart tissue.
5. Control bleeding at the surgical site; once hemostasis is achieved, suture the wound.
It should be noted that this surgery can only remove visible lesions but cannot eliminate the virus present within cells, so there remains a risk of recurrence after surgery. Therefore, postoperative precautions are important: maintain proper personal hygiene, follow a light diet, and take protective measures to promote recovery. It is recommended to seek treatment at a正规 medical institution and undergo the procedure under the guidance of a qualified physician.
