The entire process of hernia surgery for females
In general, hernias in females include direct inguinal hernia, indirect inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia, incisional hernia, and other types. Surgery is the definitive treatment method. Taking femoral hernia surgery as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:
1. Administer anesthesia. After the anesthesia takes effect, position the patient supine, perform routine disinfection, and drape the surgical field.
2. Make a 6 cm incision parallel to the inguinal ligament, starting 2 cm above the midpoint of the line connecting the pubic tubercle to the anterior superior iliac spine.
3. Incise the skin and subcutaneous tissue layer by layer to expose the external ring. Gently pull the hernial sac upward while simultaneously pushing the herniated mass upward, thereby extracting the hernial sac from the femoral canal.
4. Resect the redundant portion of the hernial sac, return the remaining sac into the abdominal cavity, and repair the femoral canal.
5. Place and secure a mesh prosthesis, ensure thorough hemostasis of the wound surface, and suture the incision.
It is recommended to undergo the procedure at a reputable hospital under the guidance of a qualified physician to minimize surgical risks. Postoperatively, consume light, easily digestible foods to promote wound healing. Additionally, avoid activities that increase intra-abdominal pressure and refrain from strenuous exercise.
