Introduction
Red patches on the feet are usually caused by trauma, eczema, or allergic dermatitis. Patients should seek medical evaluation promptly and receive appropriate treatment based on the underlying cause. In addition to these common causes, other factors such as contact dermatitis, allergic purpura, or athlete's foot may also be responsible. During treatment, patients should avoid scratching to prevent infection.

Red patches on the foot are usually caused by trauma, eczema, allergic dermatitis, or similar reasons. Patients should seek timely medical evaluation and receive appropriate treatment based on the underlying cause. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Trauma

When a patient sustains trauma to the foot, it can lead to local skin damage and soft tissue injury, resulting in redness or bruising at the affected site. Cold compresses should be applied within 48 hours of the injury. If necessary, medications such as Sanqi tablets or Shujin Huoxue tablets may be taken under a doctor's guidance to alleviate symptoms.

2. Eczema

Red patches on the foot may be due to eczema, which is commonly associated with damp environments, allergies, and other factors. It typically causes local rashes or red patches accompanied by itching and oozing. In such cases, patients should follow medical advice and use topical medications like tacrolimus ointment or halometasone cream to relieve symptoms.

3. Allergic Dermatitis

Allergic dermatitis is usually a skin condition triggered by exposure to allergens, manifesting as localized papules or red patches, often accompanied by swelling, itching, and warmth. Patients should follow medical instructions to apply topical treatments such as calamine lotion or compound acetic acid dexamethasone cream.

Besides the common causes mentioned above, other possible factors include contact dermatitis, allergic purpura, athlete’s foot, and more. During treatment, patients should avoid scratching the affected areas to prevent infection.
