Introduction
Post-abortion, poor appetite during the postpartum recovery period may be caused by physiological factors or pathological conditions such as chronic gastritis or reflux esophagitis. Abortion generally refers to the termination of pregnancy due to fetal developmental abnormalities or external stimuli affecting the mother. After an abortion, some patients may experience excessive psychological stress.

Abortion refers to miscarriage. Poor appetite during the post-abortion recovery period may be caused by physiological factors or pathological factors, such as chronic gastritis or reflux esophagitis. The specific analysis is as follows:

I. Physiological Factors

Miscarriage generally indicates abnormal fetal development or termination of pregnancy due to external stimuli affecting the mother. After a miscarriage, some patients may experience excessive mental stress, which can slow gastrointestinal motility and lead to poor appetite during the recovery period. This condition can usually be relieved by maintaining a cheerful mood and talking with family members or friends.

II. Pathological Factors

1. Chronic Gastritis

Infection with Helicobacter pylori is the main cause of chronic gastritis. Under bacterial invasion, the gastrointestinal mucosa may produce the aforementioned symptoms. Patients can take medications such as omeprazole enteric-coated capsules or sucralfate chewable tablets as directed by a physician to alleviate symptoms.

2. Reflux Esophagitis

Reflux esophagitis is usually caused by relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter or excessive gastric acid secretion. Under stimulation from these factors, the esophageal mucosa may develop the described symptoms. Treatment may include medications such as smectite powder or rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets, taken as prescribed by a doctor.

In addition, poor appetite during the post-abortion recovery period may also result from conditions such as duodenitis, gastric ulcer, or duodenal ulcer. It is recommended that patients maintain healthy lifestyle habits during recovery and avoid frequent late-night hours.
