Heparin Injection Guide for Pregnant Women
Under normal circumstances, pregnant women are in a hypercoagulable state during pregnancy, making them prone to thrombosis. Administering heparin can help prevent the formation and recurrence of blood clots. The specific procedure is as follows:
1. Assess the condition of the skin before the procedure, avoiding areas with scars, ulcers, or other damage.
2. Position the pregnant woman in a semi-reclining position and fully expose the abdominal area.
3. Disinfect the abdominal injection site, ensuring the disinfected area is larger than 5 cm in diameter.
4. Remove the rubber sheath by twisting it off in one direction, then expel any excess medication.
5. Invert the syringe with the needle pointing downward, and gently tap to move air bubbles to the top, above the medication.
6. Use the left hand to pinch the abdominal skin into a fold; with the right hand, hold the syringe like a pen and insert the needle perpendicularly at the highest point of the skin fold.
7. Inject the medication slowly. After completion, leave the needle under the skin for 10 seconds.
8. Withdraw the needle and apply pressure to the injection site to stop bleeding; the procedure is now complete.
Pregnant women receiving heparin injections should go to a正规 hospital and have the procedure performed by a qualified healthcare professional. Keep the injection site clean and dry to prevent infection.
