Introduction
Pregnant women are in a hypercoagulable state during pregnancy, making them more prone to blood clots. Heparin injections can be administered by selecting an injection site on the pregnant woman's abdomen, disinfecting the area, and then injecting heparin into the body. 7. Inject the medication slowly. After completion, leave the needle under the skin for 10 seconds.
8. Withdraw the needle and apply pressure to the injection site to stop bleeding; the procedure is now complete.
