Introduction
In general, diseases requiring respiratory isolation include influenza, measles, acute mumps, atypical pneumonia, pertussis (whooping cough), etc. Patients are advised to follow medical instructions for symptomatic treatment. Additionally, meningococcal meningitis and tuberculosis also require such precautions. If patients develop any symptoms of illness, they should seek timely medical attention at a hospital to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.

Generally, diseases requiring respiratory isolation include influenza, measles, acute mumps, atypical pneumonia, pertussis (whooping cough), and others. Patients are advised to follow medical instructions for symptomatic treatment. Specific analysis is as follows:

1. Influenza

Influenza requires respiratory isolation because it is contagious and can spread through the respiratory tract or direct contact, potentially infecting others. Therefore, isolation, observation, and treatment are necessary to prevent transmission to other individuals.

2. Measles

The measles virus exists in a patient's secretions and can be transmitted via respiratory droplets. Thus, once a measles infection is identified, immediate respiratory isolation should be implemented.

3. Acute Mumps

Acute mumps is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by the mumps virus. It is clinically characterized by non-suppurative inflammation of the parotid glands and swelling and pain in the parotid region. It primarily affects children and adolescents, and the main method of isolation is according to protocols for respiratory infectious diseases.

4. Atypical Pneumonia

Atypical pneumonia mainly spreads through the respiratory tract; in some cases, it may also spread via aerosols. Therefore, respiratory isolation is required.

5. Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

Pertussis is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by infection with *Bordetella pertussis*. This disease can spread through respiratory droplets, so patients with pertussis must undergo respiratory isolation to avoid close contact with others and thereby prevent disease transmission.

In addition, other diseases such as epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis and tuberculosis also require respiratory isolation. If patients experience any symptoms or discomfort, they are advised to seek timely medical attention at a hospital to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.
