Introduction
The prenatal color ultrasound report can assess fetal health by examining indicators such as gestational sac, amniotic fluid index, embryonic bud, biparietal diameter, and femur length. The gestational sac is the primitive embryonic tissue and appears as a cystic structure in which the embryo develops. It is typically clearly visible at 7–8 weeks of pregnancy, with a diameter of approximately 2 centimeters. The amniotic fluid index measures the volume of amniotic fluid and reflects the condition of the fetus within the uterus.

Under normal circumstances, a pregnancy ultrasound report can assess fetal health by examining indicators such as gestational sac, amniotic fluid index, embryonic bud, biparietal diameter, femur length, and others. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Gestational sac: The gestational sac is the primitive embryonic tissue and a cystic structure in which the embryo develops. It is typically clearly visible at 7–8 weeks of pregnancy, with a diameter of approximately 2 cm.

2. Amniotic fluid index: The amniotic fluid index measures the volume of amniotic fluid and reflects the condition of the fetus within the uterus. The normal range for the amniotic fluid index is 5–25 cm.

3. Embryonic bud: The embryonic bud is an early embryonic structure formed by differentiation of the fertilized egg and represents a stage in embryonic development. It usually appears at 6–7 weeks of pregnancy.

4. Biparietal diameter (BPD): The biparietal diameter is the distance between the two widest points on either side of the fetal head and represents the maximum transverse diameter of the fetal skull. Normal values vary across different gestational weeks. Typically, from weeks 13 to 40 of pregnancy, the normal range is 2.3–9.5 cm.

5. Femur length: Femur length refers to the length of the fetal thigh bone. This measurement also varies at different stages of gestation. Between weeks 20 and 40 of pregnancy, the normal range for fetal femur length is 3.35–7.4 cm.

If any of the above indicators show abnormalities, it is recommended to visit a qualified hospital to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment promptly to avoid delays in care.
