Cryptorchidism surgery video
Generally, cryptorchidism refers to the failure of a patient's testicle to descend properly into the scrotum. The condition is characterized by incomplete testicular descent or testicular ectopia. Surgery is usually recommended as the treatment. The specific surgical procedure is as follows:
1. The patient is placed in a supine position and administered general anesthesia to ensure a pain-free procedure.
2. After anesthesia is complete, the scrotal and inguinal areas are routinely disinfected, and sterile drapes are applied.
3. A 3–4 cm incision is made in the inguinal region, and the skin and fat layers are sequentially incised to expose the external oblique aponeurosis, which is then opened.
4. The muscle layer is separated, and the undescended testis is located by following the visible spermatic cord.
5. Once the position of the undescended testis is identified, surrounding adherent tissues are dissected and freed, and the testis is gently brought down into the scrotum.
6. A small incision of about 1 cm is made at the base of the scrotum, and the testis is secured in place within the scrotum using sutures to prevent retraction.
7. After fixation, the incisions are sutured closed, completing the surgery.
If this surgery is required, it is recommended to visit a正规 hospital and undergo the procedure under the guidance of a qualified physician to avoid potential bodily harm due to improper technique. Postoperatively, adequate rest and diligent wound care are important to promote recovery.
