Introduction
Under normal circumstances, IgA is a type of antibody in immunoglobulins and part of the immune system. When inflammation occurs in the body, a mild elevation of IgA clinically indicates the presence of immune-related diseases, such as nephrotic syndrome, viral hepatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic glomerulonephritis, and liver cirrhosis. Patients need to cooperate with their doctors for further diagnosis.

Under normal circumstances, IgA is a type of antibody in immunoglobulins and part of the immune system. When inflammation occurs in the body, a mild increase in IgA has clinical significance indicating the presence of immune-related diseases, such as nephrotic syndrome, viral hepatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic glomerulonephritis, liver cirrhosis, etc. Patients need to cooperate with their doctors for further diagnosis and receive targeted treatment accordingly. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Nephrotic Syndrome

In patients with nephrotic syndrome, damage to the glomerular filtration membrane causes proteins in the blood to leak into urine, resulting in proteinuria, which leads to a mild elevation of IgA. It is recommended that patients take medications such as triamterene hydrochlorothiazide tablets, indomethacin tablets, and spironolactone tablets as prescribed by their doctor.

2. Viral Hepatitis

Viral hepatitis stimulates the body's immune system to produce more IgA to fight the virus. At the same time, the liver is the primary organ responsible for IgA synthesis and metabolism; viral hepatitis damages the liver, leading to a mild increase in IgA levels. It is recommended that patients take medications such as ribavirin tablets, lamivudine tablets, and acyclovir dispersible tablets as directed by their physician.

3. Rheumatoid Arthritis

In patients with rheumatoid arthritis, the immune system attacks the body’s own joint tissues, causing inflammatory responses that lead to joint damage and pain, thereby resulting in a mild elevation of IgA. It is recommended that patients take medications such as methylprednisolone tablets, prednisone acetate tablets, and methotrexate tablets under medical guidance.

4. Chronic Glomerulonephritis

In patients with chronic glomerulonephritis, damage to the glomerular filtration membrane results in leakage of blood proteins and formation of proteinuria, which can cause the aforementioned issues. It is recommended that patients use medications such as cyclophosphamide, piperazine ferulate tablets, and phentolamine mesylate tablets as prescribed.

5. Liver Cirrhosis

In patients with liver cirrhosis, severe liver damage leads to impaired liver function and reduced capacity for IgA synthesis and metabolism. Meanwhile, the immune system in these patients is also affected, causing immune dysfunction and overproduction of IgA, thus leading to the aforementioned condition. Therefore, a mild elevation of IgA can be detected in the blood of patients with liver cirrhosis. It is recommended that patients take medications such as entecavir, telbivudine tablets, and compound glycyrrhizin tablets as prescribed by their doctor.

Patients with mildly elevated IgA should seek timely medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and undergo standardized treatment under a physician's guidance to avoid delays in managing their condition. During treatment, patients should ensure adequate rest, avoid excessive fatigue, and maintain a regular daily routine.
