Introduction
H1N1 influenza refers to Influenza A (H1N1). Generally, H1N1 influenza can be quite uncomfortable, but symptoms may be relieved through heat application, warm water sponge baths, and medication. It is advisable to drink plenty of warm water, consume adequate vitamins and protein, wash hands frequently, and wear a mask when going to public places, all of which can help promote recovery.

Influenza A refers to H1N1 influenza. Generally, the discomfort caused by H1N1 influenza can be relieved through heat application, warm water sponge baths, medication, and other methods. Specific approaches are as follows:

  1. Heat application: H1N1 influenza is mainly caused by the H1N1 influenza virus, with common symptoms including fever and headache. When patients experience persistent high fever, lactic acid may accumulate in the limbs due to increased muscle metabolism, leading to soreness. At this time, applying a warm compress with water at 40–45°C for about 15 minutes locally can promote blood circulation and alleviate muscle pain.

  2. Warm water sponge bath: When body temperature does not exceed 38.5°C, patients can use a warm towel to wipe areas such as armpits, soles of the feet, and neck. This helps dissipate heat, assist in reducing fever, and relieve bodily aches.

  3. Medication: If body temperature exceeds 38.5°C, accompanied by severe limb pain, facial flushing, nasal congestion, intense coughing, and other symptoms, patients should follow medical advice to take antiviral medications such as oseltamivir phosphate capsules or zanamivir inhalation powder, along with antipyretic and analgesic drugs like acetaminophen tablets, and cough-relieving compounds such as compound chlorpheniramine maleate and bromhexine hydrochloride tablets.

If patients exhibit the above symptoms, they are advised to seek timely medical evaluation through tests such as complete blood count, blood biochemistry, and nucleic acid testing to confirm whether they have contracted H1N1 influenza. In daily life, it is recommended to drink plenty of warm water, consume adequate vitamins and protein, wash hands frequently, and wear masks when visiting public places, all of which help support recovery.
