Introduction
In general, variant angina is a relatively complex cardiovascular disease that can usually be cured; however, if it has progressed to an advanced stage, the difficulty of cure increases significantly. Patients are advised to ensure adequate rest in daily life, avoid overexertion or staying up late, engage in moderate exercise, and maintain a positive mental state, avoiding emotional excitement.

Generally, variant angina is a relatively complex cardiovascular disease that can usually be cured. However, if it has progressed to an advanced stage, the difficulty of achieving a cure increases significantly.

Variant angina is primarily caused by coronary artery spasm, which may occur in either normal coronary arteries or those already affected by disease, leading to transient myocardial ischemia and resulting in angina attacks. If detected early and treated properly, most cases of variant angina can achieve clinical cure. During an attack, sublingual administration of medications such as nitroglycerin tablets or suxiao jiuxin pills can rapidly relieve angina symptoms. Long-term use of calcium channel blockers such as nifedipine tablets or diltiazem hydrochloride tablets, along with antiplatelet agents like enteric-coated aspirin tablets and clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate tablets, helps block calcium channels, inhibit vascular smooth muscle contraction, control angina episodes, slow disease progression, and achieve clinical cure. In advanced stages, coronary artery spasms may become more frequent and severe, and the coronary arteries may develop more significant stenosis or hardening, causing sustained myocardial ischemia and greatly increasing treatment difficulty.
