Introduction
Under normal circumstances, durian may be incompatible with cold beverages, heat-inducing foods, seafood, alcoholic drinks, and meats such as beef and mutton. However, these foods are not necessarily always unsuitable to consume with durian, and individual reactions may vary. It is recommended that individuals pay attention to their own responses in daily life, and if discomfort occurs after consumption, they should reduce intake or avoid consuming these foods together.

Under normal circumstances, durian may be incompatible with cold beverages, heat-inducing foods, seafood, alcoholic drinks, beef, mutton, and other foods. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Cold Beverages

Durian is a heaty food, and consuming it together with cold beverages may cause gastrointestinal discomfort such as abdominal pain and diarrhea. Cold beverages can irritate the gastrointestinal tract, reducing its digestive capacity, while the high calories and high fat content of durian require strong digestion to be fully broken down and absorbed.

2. Heat-Inducing Foods

Durian belongs to heat-inducing foods. If consumed together with other heaty foods such as chili peppers, ginger, scallions, and garlic, it may lead to excessive internal heat, causing symptoms of excessive internal heat ("fire"), such as dry mouth, sore throat, and constipation. At the same time, heat-inducing foods may react with the nutrients in durian, affecting digestion and absorption.

3. Seafood

Consuming durian together with seafood may cause gastrointestinal discomfort such as diarrhea and nausea. The high protein content in seafood may combine with tannic acid in durian to form substances that are difficult to digest, irritating the gastrointestinal tract. At the same time, both are high-calorie foods, and excessive intake may easily lead to excess energy consumption.

4. Alcoholic Drinks

Durian contains sulfide compounds that can inhibit the activity of an enzyme in the liver, thereby slowing down alcohol metabolism and increasing alcohol accumulation in the body. Consuming durian together with alcohol may increase the burden on the liver and raise the risk of alcohol poisoning.

5. Beef and Mutton

Durian itself contains high levels of sugar and calories, while beef and mutton are rich in protein and fat. When these three types of food enter the body simultaneously, they may increase the burden on the digestive system and may also cause symptoms such as excessive internal heat ("fire") and inflammation. People with gastrointestinal diseases or those prone to excessive internal heat should avoid consuming durian together with beef and mutton.

However, these foods are not necessarily absolutely incompatible with durian, and individual reactions after consumption may vary. It is recommended that individuals pay attention to their own reactions in daily life. If discomfort occurs after consumption, intake should be reduced or simultaneous consumption avoided.
